Mondays
Mondays Mondays Mondays Mondays,
Inspired by what others say.
Hidden ideas and what may lay.
At each work week’s commencement.
My aim is to make announcement.
Diction and pronouncement.
To a subject I hardly know.
Give the art of poetry a throw.
Words to follow row by row.
A challenge, a crucible.
To escape the labels
To talk more than short fables.
Scratch the inner workings of my head.
Absent thoughts never left unsaid.
Ignored messages left on read.
Leave no stone unturned.
For life’s mystery is well learned.
As youth is spent and burned.
Leave now regret unearned.
Take never for the sake of taking.
Make for the joy of making.
Yearn for those who will be left shaking.
Laugh for the sorrows of memories passed.
Cry in the name of experiences dashed.
Gone by too fast.
The good ones never last.
Today will soon be our past.
Tempted to fail
Bold are those who prevail.
Rebellious one’s hail.
Lured to quit.
Life is what you shape it.
Ponder it and risk it.
Serene and quarantine.
Times never seen.
Famine makes the lines lean.
Invisible killers float in the air.
Some to scared to even stare.
Gurus and experts everywhere.
Woo-woo and liars in their lair.
No clear answer, only questions.
Doubts and skepticism hide in their bastions.
Oh save us now the one’s who survived the resurrections.
Science faces it’s criticism while mobs rule.
Classrooms absent, left only to home school.
Wise our are leaders, but we follow the fool.
Educational centers act of violence.
Fall from our minds prevalence.
While black eyes, and other abuses rise.
Cages with monsters, its no surprise.
Presidents and Prime Ministers
Concoct a plan so sinister.
On Facebook I watched my Minister.
Preach of mother’s love.
As push turns to shove.
Guide us oh who lives above.
They tossed the keys.
Lock us in faint memories.
Of moments no one sees.
At the edge of the seas.
Unruly and the civil disobedient.
Form together, cursing the orient.
Sharp is the curve of the intellectual gradient.
Cops on horses protect the beach.
Pushing that summer solace out of reach.
Lessons to learn, but no one to teach.
These nightmares into my dreams seep.
While our governors lay asleep.
Waiting for their taxes to reap.
Life is far from cheap.
Lock downs and we are in our own keep.
Armed protesters in Michigan
Letting us forget again.
That decades prior we followed the choir
Of Ronnie’s Mulford Act
Again the innocent are attacked.
Ahmaud Arbery and the robbery of Justice
Two months without consequence, only prejudice.
Buy your silence with your own money.
Treasury checks and taxes next honey.
Worker bees, complaining of lack of haircuts.
Wheezing over their beer guts.
Drones and surveillance.
Gone civil liberties, without consequence.
Keep us safe, make us secure.
magnitudes of masks to procure.
The one who need those protections.
Stand blocking intersections.
Many deemed non-essential.
While they can’t buy what is substantial.
Grocery clerks and delivery drivers.
No hero’s pay, just pray to be survivors.
Social Distancing and Tactical Spacing.
Laboratories and Scientists left racing.
Patience is waning, while patients are dying.
Doctor’s and Nurses are still trying.
The world is losing hope.
If you reach the end of your rope.
Tie a knot and hang the hell on.
If you fall you will never reach Zion.
It is dark, but it isn’t the end.
Generations past had it worse my friend.
Years from now some may says.
It was the time before dawn’s rays.
We can and will come out of this better.
For history dooms the forgetter.
Do your part and wash your hands.
Better hygiene the next generation understands.
Good times lead to soft men.
Soft men forget to comprehend.
This is their pearl harbor, or their 9/11.
Quick stay home, our luxuries bring us to heaven.
Netflix, and Disney plus.
We are living in times of Surplus.
Or if you are lost, and don’t know what to find.
Hopefully these words from other’s mind.
You have the answer you need.
Just need to know where to read.
Trust but verify.
Follow yet rectify.
The follies of everyone’s span of consciousness.
We can be betrayed by our own attentiveness.
Last words and things to consider.
Medicine often tastes bitter.
History is written by the winner.
Future is certain for the sinner.
For every saint has a past.
We can break the mold of which we are cast.
Go on and have a nice day.
For I am out of words to say.
